A Cooperation between Turkish KATADROM and German [Lautschrift] in Word and Pictures.
It’s not only a unique cooperation between the cultural and social politics association KATADROM and the literary magazine [Lautschrift]. It’s also a way of bringing together talented students in order to teach them how to write a short story, or how to take the perfect picture. Although: perfect is not what KATADROM and [Lautschrift] are looking for. The workshops will show how to create a new angle, an interesting voice, a brave story, held together by the common topic “Stranger”.
KATADROM will hold two workshops in Istanbul: a creative writing workshop for students interested in the power of telling and writing short stories or essays held by Zafer Celer, and a photography workshop for those among you who would love to learn more about photography taught by Kenan Özcan. The introductory meeting is on the 13th of October and the workshops will take place for approximately four weeks. You can apply at the KATADROM website until the 7th of October:
The result of the workshops will be posted straight to Germany: to the [Lautschrift] editorial team. We will then select the best story and the best picture to be published in the third issue, next to best creative works selected from submissions from Baden-Wuerttemberg’s and Bavaria’s students, coming out in April 2013.
All we can say: we’re very excited to be part of the KATADROM network and we’re proud to be able to support Istanbul’s talented students with a publication in [Lautschrift]! Don’t miss this chance to be part of this unique and multicultural arts cooperation!
